Caroline S. Alt aged 92 of Comstock Park, passed away on January 4, 2010. She was born April 6, 1917 in Grand Rapids, MI to John and Josephine Kusmierski. Caroline was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Sr., daughter Carole, son Michael, grandson Timothy Alt. Caroline will be lovingly remembered by her children Marcia (Robert) Spruit, Thomas (Beverly) Alt, Mary Jo (Gary) Rauser, Joseph Jr. (Dorothy) Alt, David (Pat) Alt, Cynthia (Mike) Hoogewind and Daniel (Beth) Alt, 21 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren. She is survived by one brother Edward Kusmierski of Arizona and three sister-in-laws Esther Kusmierski, Valerie and Thelma Alt, many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Caroline and Joseph were lifetime farmers in Alpine Twp where she was the farm bookkeeper. She loved polka dancing, Bingo and friends. Caroline was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Alpine Twp, where a Mass of Christian Burial and Committal Service will be celebrated Friday at 11:00am. Her family will receive visitors Wednesday 7 to 9pm and Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm and Friday one hour prior to Mass. ALL VISITATION WILL BE AT HOLY TRINITY CHURCH, ALPINE TWP, where a Rosary will be prayed Thursday at 8:00pm. Memorial contributions are suggested to Holy Trinity Pew Fund, St. Ann's Home or Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist.
