The Lord needed a happy, generous Angel and called Rose home on Monday July 19, 2010. Rose loved life, her family and friends. She was always positive, warm, caring, kind and loving to all. Her table abounded with delicious Polish food and treats. She never turned anyone away from her home and everyone always left her home with something, a small gift, some food and, most importantly, her love. Rose's passing has left a huge hole in our hearts and she will be greatly missed but forever remembered by her family and friends. Mrs. Rose Pulawski Augustine aged 95 of Grand Rapids, widow of Joseph Augustine, passed away at Spectrum Health Assisted Living. Surviving are her sons Raymond Pulawski and wife Jessie of Saratoga, CA, Joseph Pulawski and wife Mary of Raleigh, NC, Robert (Top) Pulawski and wife Barbara of Wyoming, MI and stepson Michael Augustine of Grand Rapids, MI; her five grandchildren Cheri Pulawski Weisner, Todd Pulawski, Amy Pulawski Kadzban, Christopher Pulawski, Kevin Pulawski and 11 great grandchildren Tyler, Logan, Alex, Mitchell, Hudson, Hunter, Hanna, Andrew, Cole, Patrick and Aubrey, many nieces and nephews, her sister Dorothy Karasiewicz, and good family friend Sharon Pabreza. She was preceded in death by her first husband Chester Pulawski and second husband Joseph Augustine, grandson Timothy Pulawski and her brother John (Rocky) Rokicki. She was a member of Basilica of St. Adalbert and St. Casimirs Ladies Auxillary and a retiree of Grand Rapids Stationary. A Funeral & Committal Service will be held Saturday 11:00am at the funeral home. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Her family will receive visitors Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm at Arsulowicz Brothers, West Mortuary, 585 Stocking NW, where a Rosary will be prayed Friday at 7:30pm. Memorial contributions to "Meals on Wheels" will be appreciated.
