Mr. Chester J. Botwinski aged 90 of Grand Rapids passed away Friday July 16, 2010. A veteran of the US Army during WWII he received the EAME Theater Ribbon with Four Bronze Stars and received a Purple Heart, serving in the Cavalry Division as Infantryman marksman and later as a paratrooper 82nd Airborne. He was preceded in death by his wife Beverly and his 8 brothers and sisters. Surviving are his daughter Bridgette Anderson, many nieces and nephews. Chester was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Knights of St. Casimir, Knights of Colombus, American Legion and the VFW. He was a retiree of the US Postal service and delivered the GR Press for many years. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Wednesday 11:00 am at the Arsulowicz Brothers Remembrance Mortuary, 3525 Remembrance Rd NW where the family will receive visitors from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials to the Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation will be appreciated.
