Higgins (Clark) (nee Arnold)
Mrs. Romana "Monie"  Higgins aged 82 of Grand Rapids, born in Traverse City, died peacefully on Tuesday February 16, 2010 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas P. Higgins. She is survived by her 4 children and their spouses Laurie and Andy Andrzejewski of Port Washington, WI , Cam and Pete Daly and Matt Clark of Grand Rapids, and Robbie and Tim Williams of Castle Rock, CO, 7 grandchildren Scott and Ryan Andrzejewski, Claire and Dan Daly, and Chelsea, Maura and Jake Williams, her sister and brother-in-law, Kay and Ed Gavan of Grand Rapids, and her niece and nephews. Monie was a homemaker and mother of 4. As her children left home she developed her own business; Monie Clark Interiors and managed several rental units in Grand Rapids. She was a member of St. John's Home Guild, the Heritage Hill Garden Club and St. Thomas Parish. She enjoyed entertaining, playing bridge, and gardening. It was Monie's wish for cremation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday 10:30am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1449 Wilcox Park Dr SE Grand Rapids,MI 49506.  Her family will receive visitors Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm at Arsulowicz Brothers, Remembrance Mortuary, 3525 Remembrance Rd, Grand Rapids,MI 49534 where a Vigil Service will be held Friday at 7:30pm. Memorial contributions  are suggested to Hospice of Michigan or Alzheimer's Association will be appreciated.
