Hoogewind (Holleman)
Mrs. Marion Hoogewind (Holleman) aged 91 went to be with the Lord Wednesday May 5, 2010. She was born in Marne in 1918 and lived in Walker for 68 years with her husband Albert who preceded her in death in November 2009. Marion lived for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are her 3 children Allen and Mary Hoogewind, Leon "Henry" and Valerie Hoogewind, Sharon and David Klenk, eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, her sister Margaret Bovenkamp and brother Garrett (Marcia) Holleman, brother-in-law Peter VanderJagt. Marion rejoiced in serving her church and community. She was a charter member of Remembrance Church, crossing guard at Walker Station, worked at Sweden House and LaVeen's cards and gift shop. She was always active in all her grandchildrens avtivities or sports. Her loving spirit will live on at Marne Depot and Bud's with friends and family. We were blessed to have a loving mother and caring friend. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday 2:00pm at Remembrance Church, 4575 Remembrance Rd. The family will receive visitors Friday 3 to 6pm at Arsulowicz Brothers, Remembrance Mortuary, 3525 Remembrance Rd. memorial contributions to Stonebridge Manor Activities for the Residences. We were blessed to have Stonebridge who gave so much love and care the last days of Mom's life.
