Merrills
Kathleen M. Merrills aged 63 of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 8, 2010. She was predeceased by her parents Albert & Mary (nee Rosloniec) and her younger sister Janet Merrills and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and most recently her uncle Msgr. Leo Rosloniec. Surviving are her brother Paul (Judy) Merrills, fondly referred to as "Auntie G.G." by her godchild Laura (Donald) Schuitman and their children Jonathan & Madelyn, she also leaves behind Godchildren Denise (Jerrold) Moroski and Steven (Chrissie) Stanaszak, a special cousin and friend Carol (Frank) Stanaszak and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Kathleen was a former employee of The Hartford beginning in 1965 and was presently employed by Diocesan Publications since 2000. She will be remembered for her generosity, her love of games, scrapbooking, the Christmas Season and her collections of "Barbie Dolls" & music boxes. In keeping with her wish cremation will take place. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church where a Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 1:30pm. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Her family will receive visitors Friday 6 to 9pm at Arsulowicz Brothers, West Mortuary, 585 Stocking NW, where a Rosary will be prayed Friday at 8:00pm, and at church one hour prior to mass. Memorial contributions to Sacred Heart of Jesus Church or the Gift of Life Program of which she was a participating donor.
