Poplawski (Coleman) (nee Cobb)
Mrs. Evelyn I. Poplawski age 82, of Grand Rapids passed away unexpectedly of accidental injuries on Sunday May 30, 2010. She was preceded in death by her first husband Bernard Coleman, brothers Loren Cobb, Dallas Cobb. Surviving are her husband Michael, 2 daughters Margo (Brett) Rodgers, Patrice (Gary) Nichol, 4 grandchildren Matthew & Michelle Raetz, Keith & Kyle Nichol, one sister Betty (Melvin) VanMeter of Midland, 2 sisters-in-law Yvonne Cobb and Ivah Cobb, step daughter Debbie Stalsonburg, dear friend Cheryl Kuypers. Evelyn was a loving mother, dear grandmother and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was always kind, understanding, accepting and never past judgement. She was involved in her parish, Blessed Sacrament Church and volunteered on the funeral luncheon committee. She loved to quilt, garden and was a avid sport enthusiast who followed her grandsons football career from Lowell, Oklahoma to Michigan State. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 8:45am at Blessed Sacrament Church, Grand Rapids MI, (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Interment Midland Cemetery, Midland MI, Friday 2:30pm. Her family will receive visitors Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm at the Arsulowicz Brothers, East Mortuary, 937 Michigan NE, Grand Rapids, MI where a Rosary will be prayed Thursday at 7:00pm. Memorial contributions to ALS or Crohns Colitis Foundation of America will be appreciated.
