
Rettig
Mr. John Rettig Jr. aged 84 went to be with the Lord June 16, 2010 and was reunited with his wife of 60 years, Helen, and his infant daughter Elizabeth Jean Rettig. Surviving are his children Helene (Ed) Czarnopys, Michael (Sheila) Rettig, Bernadette (Jack) Fryman, Patricia (Larry Dunks) Rettig, Anthony (Nancy) Rettig, Matthew (Linda) Rettig, 19 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, sisters-in-law Ann Duba, Vera (Stan) Herda, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, John served his country as a helmsman on the USS Callao during WWII. He received an honorable discharge and continued to serve his community in the civil defense. John was a faithful & dedicated member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, active in the Ushers Club, Festival Committee and many other ministries. John was a retired employee of the United States Postal Sevice wilth over 30 years of service. A Mass of Christian Burial and Committal Service will be celebrated Saturday 10:00am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, where he will repose in church one hour prior to Mass. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. His family will receive visittors Friday 2 to4 and 6 to 8pm at Arsulowicz Brothers, West Mortuary, 585 Stocking NW, where a Rosary will be prayed Friday at 7:00pm.
